Management Development
Programme (MDP)

With the aim to enhance employee performance, motivation & growth, BGU offers Management Development Programmes (MDP) to Corporate Executives, Govt. Officers, Teachers, Engineer & Management Trainees on a regular basis. MDPs in the areas of General Management, HR, Finance, Leadership Development Programme, Financial Econometrics etc. have been conducted by the ‘Centre for Management Development Programme’ during 2016. Resource persons are drawn from the industry experts & highly acclaimed faculty members of BIMTECH Greater Noida & BGU, Bhubaneswar. Some MDPs conducted are:

• Two day MDP from 09th & 10th April 2021. This LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM was conducted online by BGU. Dr. P. Nayak, Dean, BSOM, BGU was the Program Coordinator. There were 20 participants from 5 different industries of India. The faculty team consisted of Dr. P. Nayak, Dean; Birla School of Management of BGU, Prof. Sunil Sangra, BIMTECH, Greater Noida and Prof. Sadanand Meher of BGU. The multi-functional participants were from Aditya Birla SunLife Insurance Co. Ltd., Curtis instrument India Pvt. Ltd., Auto Hangar (I) Pvt. Ltd., Sealmatic India Pvt Ltd., Quinnox Consultancy Services Ltd.
• Two Day MDP from 05th & 06th March 2021. This was an international online program conducted with 25 participants from Retail Banking Division of Eastern Bank, Bangladesh. Dr. P. Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management of BGU was the Program Director and led the faculty team. Prof. Sunil Sangra, BIMTECH, Greater Noida, Mr. Amitabh Chattoraj, Retired Banker & Professional Trainer and Prof. Anubha Ray of BGU also handled few of the sessions.
• Two Day MDP from 19th- 20th February 2021 conducted by BGU. The program on “LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT” had 26 participants from 14 companies and from different functions. Dr. P. Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management of BGU was the Program Director and the lead faculty. Prof. Sunil Sangra of BIMTECH, Greater Noida and Prof. Anubha Ray of BGU were the co-faculty. The corporates who nominated the participants are: FCI OEN Connectors Ltd., FCI GBS India Private Limited, INNOVA AM TECH LLP., Harman Plastic Industries, ACE Manufacturing Systems, DHL Express (India) Pvt. • Three Day MDP on General Management for Base Level officers (Assistant Managers) of Reserve Bank of India from 13-15 May, 2019 at Hotel Swosti Palm Resort, Berhampur – Conducted by Dr. P. Nayak, DEAN, BSOM, BGU and DIRECTOR, BIMTECH along with Dr. Anubha Ray, BGU, Bhubaneswar.
• Two day MDP on FINTECH and Digital Banking for Bank Executives from 21- 22 December 2018 at Birla Global University, BBSR – Conducted by Dr. Amerendra Sahoo, Ex- Regional Director, RBI & Chairman, Atom Technologies, Mumbai. Inaugural Address by Shri H.R.Khan (Ex Deputy Governor, RBI) and Valedictory Address by Shri B.P.Kanungo (Deputy Governor, RBI).
• Five day MDP on General Management for 20 managers of NEM Engineering Projects Pvt. Ltd. from 11-15 June, 2018 at Birla Global University, BBSR – Conducted by Dr. P. Nayak, DEAN, BSOM, BGU and DIRECTOR, BIMTECH and faculty of BGU, Bhubaneswar.
• Three Day MDP on General Management for Grade “ A” Officers of Reserve Bank of India from 25-27 April, 2018 at Chanakya BNR Hotel, Puri – Conducted by Dr. P. Nayak, DEAN, BSOM,BGU and DIRECTOR, BIMTECH along with Dr. Anubha Ray, BGU, Bhubaneswar.
• One Day EDP for 20 managers of NEM Engineering Projects Pvt. Ltd on 21 April 2018, at Birla Global University, BBSR – Conducted by: Dr. P.K. Sanyal, Prof. Satyakam Mishra and Prof. Manidatta Ray, Faculty, BGU, BBSR.
• A three day MDP Programme was organized by Birla Global University for 20 managers of NEM Engineering Projects Pvt. Ltd during 16-18 March 2018- conducted by Dr. P. Nayak, Director, BIMTECH, BBSR & Dean, Birla School of Management, BGU
• Three Day Workshop on Competency Assessment of Senior level Executives of NTPC Ltd. From 13-15 February,2018 at NTPC, Sipat- Conducted by Dr. P.Nayak, Director, BIMTECH, BBSR along with Dr. A. Chaudhuri, BIMTECH, BBSR.
• Five Day Open Leadership Development Programme for the Senior Executives of different Central Public Sector Companies from 3-7 October 2017 at Hotel Mayfair, Puri- Conducted by Dr. P Nayak, Director BIMTECH, BBSR along with Prof. Pritam Singh & Other Resource Persons from BIMTECH, Greater Noida
