Brief Profile
Dr. Sahu has earned his PhD (and M.Phil) in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. He has over 13 years of experiences (of which over 9 years of post-PhD experiences) in teaching, research and policy making areas with academic institutions and international organisations. He worked with United Nations (UN) Conference on Trade and Development, Centre for WTO Studies, Delhi University and Multimedia University during this period. His research works and columns/opinions are published in reputed international/national journals, edited books and in popular newspapers (Bangkok Post, Hindu Business Line, Jakarta Post, Times of India, moneycontrol, New Strait Times etc.). Some of his research and policy papers are also published as working papers in the reputed organisations and industry body such as UNCTAD, Commonwealth Secretariat, Centre for WTO Studies and Confederation of Indian Industry. In addition, Dr. Sahu has written economics books and contributed to Nobel Laureate Paul Krugman’s three global edition textbooks namely, International Economics, International Trade and International Finance. His research papers are cited in several journals and policy reports including Economic Survey (Govt. of India). He taught several core economics papers, supervised M.Phil/PhD students and chaired MPhil/PhD progress monitoring committee in several occasions. Dr. Sahu has honorary appointment as editor in chief, advisory board member, associate editor and editorial board member of several organisations, both at national/international level.
